Effective June 22, 2026
Top That Online LLC ("Top That," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Top That mobile application and challenged.online. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
- Account information, including your email address, username, date of birth used to enforce our 16+ requirement, and account identifiers.
- Profile information you provide, such as your display name, biography, and profile photo.
- User content, including challenge videos, audio recorded with videos, challenge titles, votes, reports, and related activity.
- Device and technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as device type, app version, authentication records, error information, and push notification tokens.
- Support communications, including the email address and message you submit when contacting us.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts; enforce our 16+ requirement; publish profiles and challenge content; operate performance voting, rankings, search, blocking, and notifications; review content for safety; hide reported challenges while they are reviewed; investigate misuse; respond to support requests; maintain and improve the service; and comply with legal obligations.
What is public
Your username, display name, profile photo, biography, challenge videos, challenge history, votes or scores, and leaderboard information may be visible to other users. Your email address, date of birth, authentication identifiers, and private support messages are not intended to be public.
Service providers
We use service providers to operate Top That, including Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, databases, storage, hosting, and automated safety review. Challenge clips and profile photos may be analyzed by Google Cloud Vision to identify adult, violent, unsafe, or otherwise restricted content before public display. We also use Expo for application updates and notifications and Apple for App Store distribution and device services. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices.
Retention and deletion
We retain information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. You can permanently delete your account from Profile > Menu > Delete account in the app. Account deletion removes your login, profile, challenges, uploaded clips, and associated activity. We may retain limited information when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or enforcement of our terms.
Adults only
Top That is intended only for people age 16 and older. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 16 to create a member account. Users age 16 or 17 must have any parent or guardian permission required where they live. Contact us if you believe someone under 16 created an account or appears in unsafe content.
Your choices
You may edit profile information in the app, control notifications through your device and app settings, block other accounts, report unsafe content or users, delete individual challenges where available, delete your account in the app, or contact us about privacy requests.
Security and changes
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no system can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as the service changes. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
